(Food-Beverage-News.Com, October 30, 2015 ) Maple Valley, Washington -- The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board issued a liquor license to Imbibe, Inc., d/b/a Imbibe Bottle House & Taproom on October 23, 2015. Imbibe will be an upscale craft beer bar and bottle shop that plans to offer twenty-eight craft beers, ciders and limited wines. The location will sell retail bottles of craft beer, wine, cider and sake while also offering a small sandwich, wrap and salad menu.
"We're ecstatic to obtain our license so relatively soon after submitting our application," stated Ryan Severson, co-founder of Imbibe Bottle House & Taproom. He continued, "Our representatives at the LCB were extremely helpful in processing our application in a timely manner. We expected the process to take another thirty days or more. This gives us the ability to get a jump start on opening accounts with our distributors."
The company plans to provide quality versus quantity in terms of the rotating selection. "We are not planning to participate in what we refer to as the beer taps ‘arms-race' where you see establishments bragging about forty, fifty and over one hundred taps available. Our focus is going to be a quality selection of fresh beer. It is extremely difficult to sell through over forty kegs of beer before it starts to lose its freshness. Even for the busiest of places," concluded Mr. Severson.
Imbibe had an initial target to open this October but due to delays along the way, that target has been pushed to early January 2016. After opening their location, the company is also planning to launch a line of beer-related products available online via distribution on Amazon.com as well as their own e-commerce site.
Imbibe Bottle House & Taproom is owned by Imbibe, Inc. and is focused on craft beer awareness, education and appreciation.
