(Food-Beverage-News.Com, September 28, 2015 ) Vancouver, British Columbia -- Most consumers that are familiar with coconut oil know that the oil becomes solid below 76–degrees Fahrenheit (or 24.5-degrees Celsius) but it easily melts into a liquid above that temperature. The challenge with trying to use coconut oil as a base for salad dressing is that if the healthy oil is added to a salad it becomes chunky when coming into contact with the cold vegetables.
Clean Living Health & Beauty Products, a new Canadian-based company, has uncovered a very simple way to keep the easily-melt-able oil in it's liquid form even when it comes into contact with other ingredients that bring the overall temperature down below 76 degrees F.
Product Manager for the company, William Ladic, says that there is a way to keep the oil in a liquid form and still have a very healthy dressing base for many North American's favorite every-day, side-dish.
"The only processing that's involved is to heat the oil into a liquid at a temperate just slightly above the melting point." Ladic says. "Then mix equal parts of coconut oil with another healthy, awesome oil…olive. The mixture then keeps the coconut oil from re-solidifying. Then just add whatever other spices and other ingredients (like vinegar) to create a healthy, oil-based salad dressing."
Ladic got the idea when researching all the great things coconut oil can do. He noticed that there were many uses for the versatile oil. Both if it was consumed internally, whether mixed in salad, stirred into coffee or spread on toast like butter, or externally like a moisturizer for the skin or a paste for teeth or even a massage oil.
Clean Living boasts that their ‘That Healthy Skin Glow' line of Coconut oil can be a multi-purpose addition to any household's healthy eating or skin-nurturing habits. Their product is organic and boasts many benefits.
More than half of the fats from coconuts contain medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) - a type of fat that is more likely to be burned off as fuel, rather than stored on the body. Many supporters of the oil say that this fuel effect actually helps gently increase energy levels without the sharp spikes achieved with caffeine-enriched products which has the ‘crash effect' after the caffeine starts to wear off.
Ladic invites people to add coconut oil to their daily diet in salad dressings, their daily cup of coffee or as a butter substitute (or as a compliment to the popular dairy fat).
By adding coconut oil to one's daily diet, Ladic believes that people will not only enjoy the taste of the oil but will see the additional health benefits that coconut oil claims. Just digging up a bit of information about coconut oil on the internet and one finds out quickly the many purposes people will put the oil up to. Many media gurus like to praise all the health benefits of the oil.
