(Food-Beverage-News.Com, September 25, 2015 ) Oklahoma City, OK -- Health Junkie, a new and emerging brand enters the gluten free energy bar market with a focus on ingredients first and business second. The brand is marketing their energy bar as a whole foods bar that is more focused on ingredients than revenue.
"It's simple. We believe people should eat a whole foods diet with as few as additives as possible. We are proud that our bars deliver on this message," explains co-founder, Chase Turner.
The Health Junkie brand prides itself on using a limited number of ingredients in their energy bars and explains most of the ingredients are ingredients people already have and use at their own house.
"Take our vanilla cashew cherry bar for example. The ingredients are: organic dates, organic cashew butter, organic cashews, cherries, organic agave nectar, organic vanilla extract and sea salt. It's pretty safe to say that most health conscious people these days have these ingredients in their pantry already," Mr. Turner says.
The company plans to launch their energy bars on Amazon just in time for the holiday season. As for now, Health Junkie has two main energy bars: Vanilla Cherry Cashew and Chocolate Nectar. Their plan is to start small and grow organically, introducing more bars into the market when it "makes sense."
"We have plans for our next bars," explains co-founder Dusty Burchfield. "But we want to stay focused on quality. We want to make sure everything is in place before we expand too quickly. We fear if we grow too fast, we could lose focus of our goal which is to deliver high quality, whole food ingredients."
