The online retailer, Wine Alfresco announces the lower price for the frozen wine and cocktail slushy mixes. They are in the process of changing the packaging and thought this would be a great way to let people try the mixes at a great price. They plan to launch the new packaging style by the end of October. Again Wine Alfresco listens to their customers and the feedback to create new products that will make entertaining fun and exciting.
According to the CEO at Wine Alfresco "we have had some really good feedback on the new wine slushy mixes so we know that it is a product we want to carry into the future. It's now just a matter of getting the packaging down that will give the customer the best value for their dollar".
Wine slushy and cocktail mixes have really taken off in the last few years as wine has become a drink that is not just for the elite. More and more people are drinking wine now than they did just ten years ago. The age range is also very diverse. The wine connoisseur's age range is now from 21 and up, where as just a few years ago it was mostly an older crowd that drank wine.
A lot of wineries are getting on board with the wine slushy mixes as well. Almost all wineries carry or sell wine slushies. It used to be wine slushys could only be found at a fair or trade show now the wineries are getting on board and the market is exploding. The flavors are more intense and the actual slushies are easy to make for anyone who has a freezer, it really is that simple.
A lot of the mixes on the market today have very similar flavors. The difference is in the wine that goes into making the slushy. The mix leans towards sweet so using a sweet wine will make the frozen mix sweeter. Using a dry wine will cut the sweetness but still give a great tasting frozen drink.
Picking a flavor is easy but packaging can be tricky. Wine Alfresco admits that they are still working on the packaging aspect of this new product. Although the new packaging is cute and loved by all (especially the girls) it is very time consuming. So new packaging is being looked at.
The four flavors are all reduced in price to make way for the new and improved packaging that will give the consumer a great value for their dollar. Wine Alfresco's four flavors are currently: "Sangria", "Peach Burst", "Mango-licious" and "Raspberry Frost". They are brimming with intense flavor; just add wine, freeze or blend with ice and a delicious frozen drink is born.
