The years of red salsa and only red salsa are over, according to Specialty Food Magazine, the publication of the nation's specialty food trade.
In their recent article "Salsa Revival", author Dina Cheney highlights some "jazzy" new salsas made of fruits, seeds, tequila, and ... sweet potatoes.
Yummy Yammy brand Sweet Potato Salsas are featured in the article because of the "unveiling of three new internationally inspired varieties of the Sweet Potato Salsa": Mexican, of course, as well as Tuscan and Moroccan.

Mainly roasted sweet potato, this salsa (can you imagine an Italian-style salsa? with no tomatoes? and sweet potato instead?) is loaded with white bean, roasted red pepper and basil, and just enough balsamic vinegar to carry the Tuscan flag.
And the Moroccan salsa is no less surprising: curry, lentil and kale round out the roasted sweet potato for a taste unlike any salsa your momma ate.
