How to use the Silicone Ice Pop Makers

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, November 11, 2013 ) Boston, Massachusetts -- An apple a day keeps the doctor away. It's not a pretty sight arriving home from a hard day at the office with a load of heavy bags under arms full of shopping, meant to last the week (that's another story). Shopping for the healthiest produce can be difficult especially for children, it's a mind-field with loads of treats in all various forms for children, but as a parent the need for a balanced diet for the entire family are hard to achieve, having healthy foods like meat, chicken, fish, fresh fruit, juices, yogurts and vegetables. Many social studies show increasing numbers of parents are frustrated in getting children to eat vegetables and followed by a close second is fresh fruit.
CEO Padraig Watters of Rocmarshal says "believe it or not it's how you present food up to children that's important, here's a little trick that can help the kids thinking a certain candy treat like a store purchased popsicle, with who on earth knows what's added in them from corn syrup, artificial colours and preservatives to replacing them with homemade delicious fresh healthy ice popsicles". Padraig also says "it's easy to make homemade popsicle and a great way to get children to love helping out in the kitchen, simply blend a mixture of fresh fruit, milk or yogurt and small amounts of various vegetables with added fresh water, blend into a smoothie liquid, pour into molds and freeze for a healthy snack that the whole family can enjoy".

Health practitioners agree the importance of Five a Day to personal health and well being. Fruit full of goodness and bursting with sweet tasting juice can overpower the taste of the added vegetables that children give out so much about. Blended fresh smoothie mixes that can be frozen are a great way of achieving part of that Five a Day health mantra. The researchers behind the results, which were recently published in the journal Public Health Nutrition, are Isabel Drake and Elisabet Wirfält from Lund University, Sweden. Eating a varied diet with a high intake of wholegrain foods, fruit and vegetables, fish and seafood and polyunsaturated fats have long been regarded as healthy by scientific experts. However, as interest in our eating habits increases, many nutritional recommendations have been called into question, including the nutritional guidelines from the National Food Agency, which build on these principles. Research shows that carrots work really well as they are sweet by nature and full of beta carotene and vitamin A. It's also scientifically proven that lack of vitamin-A can cause poor vision, including night vision, this can be restored by adding vitamin-A to any diet.

Head spokesman of marketing Ferdia Murphy from Rocmarshal states that "when children see adults enjoying more fruit and vegetables that they will end up eating more of them also". Ferdia goes on to say that "silicone has become a major part of the modern kitchen, its flexible and with careful use will last a lifetime". Ferdia points out "store purchased ice Popsicle are very messy for young children as contents start melting it usually ends up sticking on the child's hand or clothes and also with the paper packaging adding to more environmental waste, where Silicone Ice Popsicle Makers are Eco-friendly they can be reused with zero waste".
