Latest analysis on Atkins like plans have proven to be beneficial for health reports LowFatDietPlan.com

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, September 08, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA - According to latest analysis, new Atkins like plans have supported the health benefits of low carbs to a greater extent. These plans also conclude that such schedules helped people a lot in loosing weight to a great extent.

Normally, when you digest foods that are high in carbs, they convert into glucose which in return, transfers to into your blood which is why the intake of high carbs results in blood sugar. The new analysis usually slashes all high carb foods like potatoes, cake, cookies, rice, pasta etc. and even some fruits and vegetables. All these foods are replaced with the foods that have more proteins like fish, chicken, meat especially beef. In some cases you can also have eggs especially without yoke, butter and sometimes cheese.

The author of this study is William Yancy, an associate professor of medicine at Duke University Medical Center and a researcher who worked on the analysis.

William Yancy an associated professor at the Duke University Medical Center is the author of this study and he along with a researcher worked on this analysis.

According to USA Today, the study quotes a "review of 17 different studies that followed a total of 1,141 obese patients on low-carb eating plans — some were similar to the Atkins diet — found that dieters lost an average of almost 18 pounds in six months to a year", Journal Obesity Reviews.

The report also concluded that: "Overall, participants had improvements in their waist circumference, blood pressure, triglycerides (blood fats), fasting blood sugar, C-reactive protein (another heart disease risk factor) as well as an increase in HDL (good) cholesterol. LDL (bad) cholesterol did not change significantly."

Director of the Center for Obesity Research and Education at Temple University Philadelphia agreeing to the analysis stated that, "We have passed the time where we would say the Atkins diet is bad for you. That's an outdated position."
