KFC chickens make you grow faster as they are fattened with illegal drugs

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, December 09, 2015 ) As per the CCTV reports, some of the KFC's suppliers in Shandong had put illegal drugs in their chickenfeed. The fast-food giant KFC said they will co-operate with the government investigation into the chicken sold in its outlets after a China Central Television program last night reported some of KFC's suppliers in Shandong had put illegal drugs in chicken-feed to make the birds gain weight faster.

The CCTV reports were revealed based on a year of undercover reporting. They found that chicken farms had lights turned on around the clock to make the birds eat non-stop and grow faster with a chicken growing from 30 grams to 3.5 kg in just 40 days. Farmers had given at least 18 kinds of antibiotics to chickens so that they would not become ill.

A farmer in Gaomi with whom the channel contacted said that he would mix a hormone into the feed and the birds would become so fat that some could not even walk.

Another farmer said that they had to change antibiotics from time to time after the chickens developed resistance to the drugs.

All the farmers stated that their chickens were brought by the Liuhe Group, based in Qingdao who supplies for KFC. It is reported that Luihe sells 40 tonnes of chicken a month to KFC. Its Pingdu branch is under investigation.

The CCTV program said that when farmers sent chickens to be slaughtered, workers would exaggerate records about how they were raised before they were shipped off to the Yum. A worker at the centre told the CCTV that they did not conduct any checks before sending the chicken to the brand outlets. These brand outlets include KFC and Pizza Hut.

KFC on its microblog said that they have stopped buying chickens from Liuhe in August. Post this shameful incident, KFC said they inspected their suppliers each year and that they should have passed strict assessments.

As this news have been viral across the social media, KFC said “we attach great importance to the contents of the media report and will actively co-operate with the relevant government departments investigation”. They also added that if they found any of their suppliers been conducting any illegal activity, they will be handled strictly.

If the chickens are injected with illegal drugs to make them grow faster, what would be your case, when you have these tasty delicious KFC chickens?

As these illegal drugs can raise your LDL levels, it results in high cholesterol levels, thereby resulting in weight loss.

Celebrity Kim Kardashian revealed she's insecure about packing on 20 pounds on Sunday's episode of Keeping UP with the Kardashians. While she told her sisters that something unusual 'life-changing” had happened in their Calabasas hometown after the In-N-Out burger ( a fast food restaurant) had opened. Later, Kim showed Kourtey her new sexy nude photos she'had taken secretly in the desert for her revamped website and added “we went to KFC on the way there”.
