(Food-Beverage-News.Com, August 14, 2015 ) Foley, Alabama -- The WNY VegFest 2015 was celebrated last August 2, 2015 at the Delaware Park, Marcy Casino & Rose Garden 199 Lincoln Parkway, Buffalo, NY 14222.. The event started 10 in the morning and ended 6 in the evening. The main objective of the event is to promote sustainable living and natural vegetable products. The celebration has also featured speakers, exhibitors, live music, food vendors, vegetarian and vegan cuisines, rescue animals, children's activities, and entertainment performances.
The theme for this year's celebration was "A plant based diet and its effects upon our lives and the environment in a time of climate change". The guest speakers have covered topics related to vegan diet and environmental issues. Last year's inaugural WNY VegFest have over 5000 attendees and participated the said festival.
The funds that were gathered from the festival were contributed to Asha Farm Sanctuary and those donations to the vegan food drive were forwarded to the Buffalo chapter of Food Not Bombs. There are other food vendors in the US like Victory Gardens that continuously promotes sustainable living, natural farming and heirloom gardening products.
