(Food-Beverage-News.Com, August 03, 2015 ) Foley, Alabama -- The 19th Annual Kendall-Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival will be celebrated on September 26th, 2015 from 11am up to 4 in the afternoon. The event will be held at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate and Gardens, 5007 Fulton Road, Fulton, CA.
The main objective of the event is to promote sustainable living, natural farmer products and different varieties of heirloom tomatoes. The festival is in partnership with the Ceres Community Project. This event will be featuring more than 150 heritage varieties of tomatoes grown in Kendall-Jackson's estate culinary gardens.
The organizers will also be providing garden tours, wine and food pairings, garden seminars, Chef's challenge, and live music entertainment provided by Grammy nominated Andre Thierry. A chef competition will be held featuring Bravo's Chef Contenders and tomato-inspired dishes will be exhibited from nearly 50 wine country and Bay Area restaurant chefs and food vendors. There are also other purveyors in the US like Victory Gardens that also promotes different varieties of heirloom culinary seeds and fruits.
The Kendall-Jackson Heirloom Tomato Festival has a general admission of $95 and $175 for premier access. There will be Wine Club Member tent and check-in, wine tasting and samples of tomato inspired bites from food purveyors prepared for Kendall-Jackson club members. The Premier Package includes a Premier lounge and tent, check-in, parking with separate entrance to the event, exclusive cuisines, along with limited release wines that will be poured by the Master Sommelier.
The Ceres Community Project has conducted a Chef Challenge for the benefit of the Annual Heirloom Tomato Festival.
