(Food-Beverage-News.Com, July 29, 2015 ) Foley, Alabama -- Chicago's 2015 Veggie Fest is celebrating its 10th year anniversary on August 15 & 16, 2015. This vegetarian festival will be held for the first time at the campus of Benedictine University, 5700 College Rd., Lisle, Illinois 60532. The event features different array of vegetarian and vegan cuisines.
The 10th annual Veggie Fest in Chicago is anticipated to have 800 volunteers from around the world. Last year's celebration gathered over 30,000+ attendees and organizers are expected to be dwarfed by this year's crowd. The festival will also be featuring organic vegetable booths and vendors.
"We're really excited for the new venue this year," said event organizer Jonathan Kruger, "It'll give us even more room to make our 10th Annual Veggie Fest bigger and better than ever."
The main objective of the event is to promote organic farm products, green living and sustainable lifestyle. The festival will also have food demonstrations from restaurant owners, chefs, and authors. There are also available booths and tent with face painting, clowns, and crafts with free of admission and free parking.
The keynote speakers of the festival are Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, of Science of Spirituality, Dr. Mason, Chief Operating Officer of the Cook County Public Health System, will be participating this year to talk about the significance of the vegetarian diet and lifestyle. Mayor of Lisle, Joe Broda, will also return and participate to veggie fest to cut the ribbon at the start of the festival on the first day.
