The Richmond Veggie Fest is happening on 06/20/2015. Admission is free.
(Food-Beverage-News.Com, May 16, 2015 ) Foley, Alabama -- The 13th Annual Richmond Vegetarian Festival will be held on the June 20, 2015. Program starts at 12 noon until 6 in the afternoon. The celebration will be conducted at the Azalea Gardens at Bryan Park, Richmond, VA.
There will be an exhibition of organic food, heirloom products, speakers, live music and entertainment from the Yes Team and Thomas Coleman. The festival is conducted and presented by Vegan Action and Natural Awakenings of Richmond who is one of the official sponsors. Admission is free and vaccinated pets are welcome to the event.
Animal rights and rescue organizations will be representing the celebration such as Farm Animal Rights Movement, Mercy for Animals, Richmond Animal League and Hope's Legacy Equine Rescue. The Richmond Veggie Festival's main goal is to promote healthy and sustainable vegetarian or vegan lifestyle in a festive atmosphere. There will be 2 dozen restaurants that will be providing vegetarian and vegan cuisine. These include Thai (Thai Top Ten), Indian (Indian K' Raja), Vegetarian Sushi (Sticky ToGoGo), Pizza (Fired up Pizza) and frozen desserts from DeLuca Gelato and Soul-Ice Vending.
The festival will be installing tent for the speakers and the attendees. The speakers will be providing health teachings about vegetarianism or veganism, muscle and fitness activities, and organic diets. Speakers will include Derek and Mercella from Vegan and Muscle Fitness, Danielle Bussone from Veggin' Out and About, Kristin Lajeunesse frm Will Travel for Vegan Food, and Jane Wilson, a professional registered dietician. And lastly, the master of ceremonies will be Mike Goldberg of the WTVR-CBS 6 and WCVE Pulbic Radio.
