Recipe Reading And Baking Tips For Mothers Day

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, May 09, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- Not everyone knows how to bake and some would even forego learning the skill. Most people are overwhelmed with the things related to baking but Rachel Levy, spokesperson of kitchenware distributor Mr. Muffin, discusses to customers a few baking tips that she thinks are essential for a beginner. With Mother's Day coming, baking a favorite recipe can now be possible.

An essential part of any cooking venture is to learn how to correctly interpret a recipe, Levy says. Sometimes, when the steps seem complicated it can become tempting to skip them so Levy shares that before trying out a recipe, it is recommended that the recipe is read from the beginning to the end to see if all the steps needed in the recipe can be carried out correctly or if there are any confusing steps that needs clarification first. "Read the recipe completely and see if all the steps are clear to follow. Then you are ready to set out the needed tools and ingredients for your cooking or baking attempt," says Levy.

Levy also says that skill and common sense are needed in reading recipes. Some recipes call for minced, sliced, chopped or diced ingredients so it is important to take note of each step involved. Interpreting the recipe is also important. For example, "1 cup chopped chocolate" is different from "1 cup chocolate, chopped". "Little things like these matter because you might end up with too little or too much ingredients so read the steps carefully. You can read the recipe twice to make sure you understand each step involved," explains Levy.

In baking muffins for instance, most recipes would ask for greasing muffin cups or muffin pans before placing the batter. If called for, it has to be done even if the pan is advertised as non-stick. Greasing muffin cups or pans lightly will ensure that baked goodies will pop out easily.

Mr. Muffin novelty baking cups are exclusively sold on Amazon. The cups are made from BPA-free and pure food grade silicone.
