A Wine Aerator Fights Sulfites In Wine

My Wine Passion Chiller Stick has a growing 5-star review reputation on Amazon.

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, April 04, 2015 ) Varna, VN -- My Wine Passion is one of the brands that focuses on helping its customers enjoy their wine. Its wine products are available on the Amazon retail platform in the USA. The wine chiller stick that the company has designed is a versatile solution for wine lovers. It comes with a built-in wine pourer that provides drip-free pouring. The stainless steel chill rod is designed to cool down red wine and keep white wine chilled. The wine aerator is a really useful for people who are allergic to sulfur.

Sulfites are one of the most well known wine preservative. They have been used more for than two thousand years. Sulfites are found naturally in wine as in most foods as well. Some wine makers add additional quantity in order to slow down the aeration process. Aeration or oxygenation can ruin a bottle of wine and even turn it into a bottle of vinegar.

For more than 20 years wine producers have to add a sign on wine labels when the there are additional sulfites added. At first it was believed that sulfur could cause headache. After years of researches it turned out that only people with sulfur allergy could get such a headache.

Despite the allergy there are people who are also sensitive to sulfites and sense some rotten eggs when they drink wine. This aroma is cause by the sulfites once again.

There are two ways to remove the undesired wine compounds as sulfites from wine before drinking. The first one is purely scientific - adding hydrogen peroxide in the bottle. Although it neutralizes the sulfites it can add some undesired flavours itself.

The second way to reduce the concentration of sulfur in a bottle of wine is aeration. It is process when wine is left to make contact with oxygen. Sulfites are quite unstable and evaporate after a while. The process can take between 30 minutes and an hour and a half. It depends on the age of the wine - old white wine have higher sulfites concentration than young ones.

In order to speed the process of aeration a wine accessory can be used. Either a wine decanter or a wine aerator will reduce the time needed for oxygenation. My Wine Passion Chiller Stick aerates the wine while pouring. Its pour through wine spout slows down the pouring and increases the contact between wine and air. It is always advised that the bottle of wine is left for 15-30 minutes before pouring.

My Wine Passion Chiller Stick is available for purchases through Amazon. It comes with a nice gift box and a free e-book about wine tasting with friends.
