(Food-Beverage-News.Com, November 05, 2014 ) Chattanooga, Tennessee -- People young and old just love muffins but not all people love baking them because of all the steps needed from baking to cleanup. Mister Kitchenware representative, Chris Moal, shares to customers some basic ideas on how to successfully bake muffins with silicone muffin pans.
Moal explains, "When using silicone muffin pans in baking muffins, there is no need to grease the pan before placing the batter. However, the pan should be conditioned before its first use and this can be done by spraying a little amount of oil on the surface. The rest of the time, you can simply skip this step without having to worry about the muffins sticking to the pan."
Moal suggests placing the batter immediately into the cups right after mixing all the ingredients. He also recommends using an ice cream scoop when placing batter into the cups for more uniformly sized muffins. Also prepare a spoon or spatula to scrape batter from the scoop. Follow precisely the instructions called out on the muffin recipe. If it says fill the cups up to 2/3 then do so.
If after scooping batter, there are no more left to fill all the cups, be sure to place a small amount of water on the empty cups to protect the silicone muffin pan from burning. Bake the muffins in the middle rack of a preheated oven. Double check if all the instructions in the recipe are followed.
Moal adds, "When baking two batches of muffins at the same time, ensure that the pans have enough space in between them and from the oven walls for air to circulate better around the oven. At times, there could be a need to rotate the pans."
