(Food-Beverage-News.Com, October 06, 2014 ) CLEARWATER, FLORIDA -- In the midst of preparing his renowned gumbo, famed Celebrity Chef Marcel Boudreaux was inadvertently handed a new kitchen utensil for grating cheeses, vegetables and nuts. In a moment of what can only be called an epiphany, Boudreaux realized The Grate was quite possibly the ‘best damn kitchen utensil in the world' and ceremoniously endorsed it as such. Thus the marriage between LDTR Products and Chef Boudreaux was born.

"There I was trying to relax by making my gumbo after a particularly irritating conversation with my ex-wife, Ordelia, when my assistant handed me the most incredible kitchen tool. Without thinking, I used it and I was flabbergasted! The cheese literally exploded out of that grater! This amazing invention inspired me right then and there to write a book for my ex-wife and I think I'm going to call it, 'Grating on My Mind," says Boudreaux. "With a silky smooth motion, in about a minute I had completed my grating without effort. I knew right then, that I had to find the people who provided me this wonderful tool."
And so he did. He called the offices of LDTR Products and the partnership was born. The owners of LDTR Products are equally impressed with Boudreaux as he is with them. In the early years of his celebrated career, Boudreaux spent an entire year making an intense study of every spice and seasoning used in every dish from every culture—European, Asian, African and even Arab. He did experiments and taste tests, to see how seasoning affected virtually every kind of meat, fish and vegetable. One day he had what he calls a life changing event when he realized he just ‘knew' all about it and didn't have to think or refer to a book. He can ‘play by ear, like them musicians do. I became a player of food," says Boudreaux.
