Scott Cortland, the company's Chief Marketing Officer says, "We are proud to announce our new yacon syrup is ready and available for retail sale. We have worked long and hard with our manufacturing partners to find the highest quality raw ingredients available. It turns out the purest quality yacon is only available from Peru".
Nutrigift will begin shipping bottles to health food stores and grocery stores nationwide this Thursday. Cortland also says, "It was difficult finding a good manufacturing partner. We keep testing various yacon syrups from manufacturers across the country, however, we found that most of these syrups don't contain much, if any, yacon at all. Each lab analysis kept coming back showing how most yacon syrup manufacturers use cane sugar in their products. This is terrible, especially considering Dr. Oz announced on his show that yacon syrup is perfect for diabetics."
Nutrigift will begin selling their yacon syrup in an 8fl ounce bottle. The bottle is dark amber to ensure light doesn't spoil or ruin the product during shipping or display. Cortland also says, "We thought a lot about our product from beginning to end. Yacon syrup doesn't need to be refrigerated, however, light and a lot of exposure to air can ruin it. This is why we decided to package it inside of a deep amber colored bottle."
When asked about the taste of Nutrigift's newest yacon syrup, Cortland says, "Our taste is amazing. It's a low calorie and low glycemic sweetener. You can add it to anything, including coffee, tea and baking recipes. You can even eat our syrup raw, right from the bottle. Yacon tastes like a mixture of honey and molasses. I am extremely happy with how the taste turned out. It's almost perfect."
