Tamia Shaw, a senior manager at Nutrigift, says, "Our customers have been calling us and letting us know all of the things they use our yacon syrup for. For example, a lot of customers tell us how they add our syrup to their morning coffee and tea. Other customers tell us how they even substitute molasses for our yacon syrup in their baked goods. Our product also became popular with diabetics looking for low calorie and low glycemic sugar substitutes".
Nutrigift is excited that customers are finding many new uses for their products. Scott Cortland, Nutrigift's Chief Marketing Officer says, "We're proud to enrich the lives of our customers in new ways. Yacon syrup is a great product. A famous TV doctor recently said on his show how a yacon syrup weight loss diet can help people lose weight. I figured since yacon tastes so much like honey and molasses it was only a matter of time before people invented ways of including more yacon in their diet".
However, Cortland further states, "Nutrigift does not directly make claims that our products will guarantee weight loss for customers. No company can make these claims as they are illegal".
Nutrigift is continuing to expand their product line, hoping more customers will purchase their yacon syrup for cooking. Shaw says, "Each day I hear more and more stories about new uses. I love it. Our customers are happy with the taste and love including our product in their food".
Nutrigift plans to expand their yacon product line to include a 16 ounce bottle in the near future. Nutrigift recognizes that their current 8 ounce bottle is a great product, however, feedback suggests that customers want access to larger bottles. "Frequent bakers and yacon enthusiasts want more product. We will be sure to include larger bottles in the future for people who use a lot of it at one time", says Cortland.
