DC Homewares is providing 25 of its newly launched product, FORK sold under the brand name of Prep'd to the event to give to the participating chefs. David Bay, CEO of DC Homewares says, "Common Threads is our preferred charity group, as we are 100% behind their cause of teaching kids how to cook and eat well. We are proud to be able to support this group in our small way".

Common Threads is bringing World Festival back to Washington DC after its previous event, 12 month's ago. They are excited to have a follow-up and anticipate that the 8th Annual World Festival will be bigger and better than before!
" Dchomewares is excited that each of the participating chef's will be presented with its Roasting/BBQ Fork", says Bay.
The event is hosted in the capital, which is an epicenter of world cuisine. There will be assembled a team over 20 of the nation's best chefs who will prepare small bites for over 200 lucky guests on Thursday, April 24th.
Chefs use Common Threads' core after-school program, Cooking Skills & World Cuisine, as their inspiration. Each week in the program, Common Threads' students "travel" with their imaginations to a different country far outside their neighborhoods, by learning about and preparing healthy recipes local to that specific country.
Guests attending World Festival will have the chance to share in that same experience as they sample different cuisines from around the world. Chefs will be teaming up with Common Threads students to create their masterpieces' As an added bonus, Diageo has donated spirits which will be mixed to perfection into cocktails for attendees.
DC Homewares considers Common Threads to be a very a worthy cause and urges its support. World Festival is a unique occasion and celebrates both food and the connection it engender across barriers of different countries.
All funds raised will help support Common Threads student and family programs and allow them to continue to grow in DC and even more cities across USA.
