According to Darren Tanner, founder and CEO of DrinkFund, the company has already created a lot of buzz surrounding adult beverage rebates within the beverage industry.
“We have already generated a great deal of interest from one of the top beverage suppliers in the world,” said Tanner, the apps for party goers creator. “We just need to build it.”
Currently, DrinkFund is looking for individuals to help change how adult-drink discounts are distributed. The DrinkFund team is fundraising $75,000, all of which will go directly into developing the app, according to Tanner.
Tanner added that his team has been working nearly 18 months on this app, which will be available on both Android and IOS platforms.
According to the app’s fundraising page, consumers waste money every year by not redeeming rebates on alcohol purchases. Depending on a consumer’s buying frequency, this can add up to hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Tanner said that consumer rebates on alcohol purchases have never been so easy. “This will finally make getting money back for alcohol quick and easy,” said Tanner. “You will be able to bank the refunds and cash out whenever you want with the potential to save hundreds and even thousands on your favorite adult beverages.”
According to a video on DrinkFund’s website, the app will make alcohol rebates simple by allowing users to submit rebates electronically. Users then receive instant rebates through the DrinkFund app, which can be redeemed for cash or other items. Individuals interested in contributing can go to the company’s fundraising website on indiegogo.com.
In exchange for contributing, DrinkFund is giving rewards to individuals who donate, including DrinkFund accounts, t-shirts and free advertising. The campaign runs through April 17, 2014.
The app is planned to be released in October 2014.
