WittyCuisiner Shares A New Study On Chocolate By Boston Researchers

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, August 15, 2013 ) Denver, Colorado -- According to a new study at Harvard University, older people who were not showing satisfactory performance in memory as well as reasoning showed a significant improvement by enjoying two cups of cocoa daily about 30 days.

The researchers think that hot chocolate would increase the flow of blood into the brain. By having chocolate daily, the data shows that the blood flow has increased by a little over 8 percent.

The researcher in Boston, Dr. Farzaneh A. Sorond, indicates that there is still a long way to find out the benefits of having chocolate and said, "We're learning more about blood flow in the brain and its effect on thinking skills."

The scientist would not urge people to consume more chocolate or cocoa at this stage. "Our results are preliminary and adding the extra calories, sugar and fat that comes with chocolate and cocoa carries additional health hazards which may offset any possible brain benefits.", said Sorond.

WittyCuisiner, a Denver based company, that sells measuring spoons at Amazon, recently shared the image with research result on its Facebook page. The text on the image shows, "Chocolate may help keep brain healthy, sharp in old age."

The short comment about the research outcome is added to the post, which says, "Chocolate could improve blood flow to the brain. Let's have some…but not so much."

Evelyn Stewart, the company's spokesperson, says, "We like to connect with our fans and customers by providing useful and fun food information on Facebook and we enjoy sharing up-to-date research outcome with them."

The size of the image is 500 pixels by 667 pixels and its resolution is 72 DPI. The image has the company's logo at the lower right corner. It is also posted in the company's Twitter, Google Plus and Pinterest pages.

The researches on hot cocoa are still preliminary at early stages and the researchers need to do more work to come up with solid results.
