The Legend
In the late 1800's, Ireland suffered through The Great Potato Famine. The majority of the Irish left Ireland for the U.S.A. except for one, Patrick Murphy. Murphy, big six foot four Irishman, decided to journey to Mexico. Being the Irishman he was, he loved his Irish Whiskey, but Mexico had none.
Patrick took to tequila and found he loved it. Patrick met and fell in love with Rosetta Lopez and married. Two years later, Rosetta gave birth to a son and was adamant that their son be named after her father Carlos. That was the start of Carlos Murphy.
Patrick, being the Irishman he was, would let Carlos take a sip of tequila from time to time. As Carlos got older he just loved tequila. He said one day he would own his own brand of tequila, but he wanted it to be different. And that was the start of the legend... Carlos Murphy's Original Cinnamon Spiced Tequila.
