(Food-Beverage-News.Com, February 19, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- Tom Hardy, famed for his roles in Bronson, Warrior, as well as his latest role as Bane in the latest in the Batman series, is set to work with director Steven Knight for the movie 'Locke'. The movie is set to be fully financed by IM Global's specialty label Anthem.
'Locke', from Paul Webster, Joe Wright, and Guy Healy's shoebox Films, is set to bring in interest from foreign buyers from the European Film Market, according to experts. The market gets underway today in congruence with the Berlin International Film Festival.
The film is based on the original screenplay from Knight of the same name. Locke tells the story of a man whose life becomes unraveled in the tension-fueled 90-minute race against time. The film is set to be shot in real-time to add to the authenticity of the pace.
The protagonist Ivan Locke is set in his perfect life, with his dream job and perfect family. As often does in movies, one phone call will change his life forever, and will put everything on the line
Knight has set up to begin production within the month in London, with Webster and Heeley producing the piece. CAA is representing the domestic rights.
IM Global Shoebox, and Knight previously collaborated on Hummingbird, which is to be released by Lionsgate later in the year.
