The surgeon admitted to 7days that over 50% of the surgeries her personally performed were for the fat-sucking procedure.

“Liposuction remains the most popular of the procedures that I perform,” said Toledo.
“It is often combined with other body contouring techniques.” said the surgeon. He then added that the the landscape that is plastic surgery is changing, as patients become more aware about the latest procedures thanks to the internet. He added: “If an application is used in Switzerland one day, they expect it to be available here the next.”
Toledo also admitted that a study of nearly 1,500 patients exposed the fact that a demand for non-invasive procedures, often for short-term tweaks, were on the rise.
“International and local trends for 2013 predict the continued growth in the popularity of non-surgical procedures,” he said. When it came to surgery, number two on the list was nose remodeling. Requests for breasts were now only 5%, while the Brazilian Buttock procedure, was up to 7% of all requests.
