Aspartame Side Effects Exposed By Natural Health Sherpa

(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 29, 2012 ) Wilmington, NC -- The controversy surrounding aspartame started long ago when it was approved by the government as a safe sugar substitute. Even today, activists, natural health researchers and concerned citizens in general have been open about their disapproval of aspartame as a safe artificial sweetener. ThereÂ’s a long list of aspartame side effects that one of the leading natural health websites reports.

According to Natural Health Sherpa the side effects of aspartame include:

• Death
• Headaches and seizures
• Vision loss
• Seizures
• Hearing loss
• Joint pain
• Breathing difficulties

“And these issues are mild compared to the other dangers of aspartame consumption. Turns out, many conditions are worsened or even brought on by aspartame, including cancer, brain tumors, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease,” continues the post.
According to Natural News, “over a billion people consume aspartame in their foods and beverages across the world, believing it to be a safe ingredient, but what they probably don't know is that aspartame currently accounts for over 75% of all side effects complaints received by the FDA's Adverse Reaction Monitoring System (ARMS) for the past 4 years.”

Not Just Aspartame

Natural Health Sherpa makes it clear that aspartame is not the only danger. The website also discourages the use of several other artificial sweeteners. In one of its posts, Natural Health Sherpa warns about sucralose dangers. In another article about sugar substitutes, the site discussed xylitol sweetener. The website also calls saccharin “a sweet mess” and talks about the harmful effects of this sugar replacement.

“If you must have a bit of sweetness, opt instead for stevia. This herb comes in both powdered and liquid forms and is a great choice to sweeten coffee, oatmeal, or even give mineral water a flavor boost. Best of all, it’s chemical- and toxin-free,” concludes Natural Health Sherpa.

About Natural Health Sherpa:

Natural Health Sherpa provides in-depth, science-based, independent reviews of natural health therapies and natural remedies that have been proven to be both safe and effective and are backed by good science -- multiple double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized studies. Unfortunately, there are many charlatans making bogus, unfounded claims in the natural health area, so our goal is to separate fact from fiction to pinpoint what actually works.
