New Coffee Aids in Weight Loss

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, July 20, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- Over 100 million Americans enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning to start their day. Now, in addition to helping you wake up, it could also help you lose weight.

Javita, a company out of Boca Raton, is selling a new beverage they call Weight Loss Coffee.

Dr. Kenneth Gelman, an endocrinologist, explained that it’s very difficult for people take pills. Many don’t like it, others forget, and still others just cannot swallow large pills; however, people will drink coffee.

The new coffee contains garcinia cambogia, an ingredient that is extracted from a tropical fruit and has been shown to lower cholesterol and boost metabolism.

Gelman stated that some initial studies find this compound working in the liver to inhibit fat synthesis. The extract helps suppress appetite, turns sugars into energy rather than fat, and helps control cravings and manage the stress hormone cortisol.

The coffee includes another ingredient yerba mate, which is a plant extract known for its abilities to burn calories and boost energy.

Gelman said drinking two cups of Javita’s coffee per day can generate a 4.5 pound weight loss and reduce belly fat by more than 25 inches in just 28 days.

Andre Merlucci thinks that it’s worth trying and those who are trying to lose a few pounds should definitely consider the coffee.

Louise Estrada tried the coffee and had dropped a full pound after one week of drinking it. She said that she will keep doing it because it tastes great and actually works.

There have not yet been any scientific studies on the long-term safety of using garcinia cambogia. It is known that taking too much of it can result in gastrointestinal problems, such as vomiting, nausea and diarrhea.

Javita is sold in boxes of 24 individual packets. You can purchase the product on Amazon.com or through doctors’ offices for $35 to $45.
